CGIS Preschool - Oct. 2007, week 1

Weekly Theme: ZOO ANIMALS
This week, the CGIS Preschoolers had a blast of fun learning about different zoo animals and birds from around the world!
１０月１週目のテーマは、サファリや動物園にいる動物。CGISのお友達は世界の動物や取りたちについて楽しく体感できました！

Todays's Theme activity was The Lion Roaring Contest! Each child roared his/her best roar as they were unveiled from behind a blanket, and got a sticker!
今日のTHEME ACTIVITYは、ライオン雄叫びコンテスト！ブランケットの後ろにスタンバイしたお友達がひとりずつROAR!! おわったらスティッカーをもらったよ。










After we went to small park, we had lunch all together, listening to our favorite African Marimba Music! No wonder we go a bit wild...! I
お外で遊んだ後は大好きなアフリカのマリンバ（木琴）音楽を聴きながら、ランチタイム！どうりで少し野生的な気分になる訳だ．．．！



Every Friday, Granny Shoko comes to take care of administration, and has lunch with us! We were happy to see her new born italian greyhound puppies on her cell phone.
金曜日は事務のGRANNY SHOKOが一緒にランチ♪携帯でとってきてくれた生まれたばかりのイタグレの子犬の写真を見せてもらって、みんな興味津々(@_@)。



Nap/Lie-Down Time after Lunch and quiet time. For 10 minutes each day, we rest and listen to Mozart or Ai's Bassist riend, Maestro Alberto Bocini's Movin' in the movies CD. Mmmmm...what a chill....love it! :-D お昼の後のお昼寝／お休みタイム。毎日１０分こうして好きな場所に横になってモーツァルトかイタリアのコントラバスの巨匠アルベルト・ボチーニのCDを聞いてリラックス♪うーん、気持ちいい〜！:-D ボチーニは特にみんな大好き。



Today's Academics was ecology. After we learned about how elephants with big ears are from Africa, and the smaller eared ones are from Asia, we got to know about how we should protect the endangered elephants from the hunters. So,...
今日のアカデミックス（日替わり科目）はエコロジー。耳の大きなアフリカ象と耳の小さなアジアゾウの違いについて考えたよ。そのあと、悪いハンターから、少なくなった象さんを守らなきゃいけない事を知って．．．


We made our own elephant maskes and scared the hunter (Ai) away!!
The magic line was "Hey no way! Save the elephants!"
早速作ったエレファントマスクでハンターを追い出しにいったよ！
合い言葉は、"Hey no way, Save the elephants!"

For Social Studies, we talked about birds from differnt countries, and then made a penguin craft! It was the first time to stuff tissue paper for a craft, but it was interesting.
Social Studies (社会）の時間で世界の鳥についてお話ししたよ。だから、今日のクラフトアデリーペンギン！中に紙を押し込むのってはじめてだけど面白いね。




Fly like an American eagle to Southern Rock! We also balanced like a Sardinian flamingo, waddled like an Australian penguin, and walked in slow motion like a Japanese Toki.
サザンロックを聴きながら、アメリカのワシのように飛んじゃおう！片足立ちでサルデニア島のフラミンゴや、ペンギン歩きでオーストラリアのペンギン、スローモーションで日本のトキにもなったよ♪
